Several people have asked me about using the Amazon S3 service for backup.
The products that I am building to interact with S3 aren't really in the backup space. I'm approaching the tools that I am building more from the perspective of a web developer.
If you are currently looking for an online backup solution, I recommend JungleDisk.
If you use Firefox and want a excellent free plug-in for storing individual files, I recommend S3Fox.
S3Nas.Desktop will have have some JungleDisk and S3Fox compatibility features.
